The Baiyun Mountain Sunset Run, part of the 12th Guangzhou Outdoor Sports Festival, a landmark sports event of Guangzhou aimed to promote the integration of outdoor sports and tourism development, is open for registration from July 28 to Aug 17.

The event will take place at 6 pm on Aug 29, starting at the South Gate of Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area in Guangzhou's Baiyun district.

This 10-kilometer course, designed for runners of the city, passes through the hidden gems of Zhengxian Bridge Trail and Jiulong Spring. Participants will enjoy panoramic views of the city skyline and the enchanting sunset.

Prizes await the top three male and female finishers, including trophies and gifts. All finishers will earn a specially designed medal.

In addition to the sunset run, the district organizers are inviting residents to walk on the Liuxian Small Trail in Baiyun Mountain on Aug 8, which is National Fitness Day. This 3-km forest trail offers a serene, nature-filled experience, culminating at Moxing Ridge with stunning views of Guangzhou. Participants can collect stamps along the way to exchange for a commemorative medal and a gift package.
