Shanghai Care Alliance Medical Technology and Shanghai Fosun Health Technology Group will establish healthcare facilities in Baiyun district, Guangzhou, according to agreements signed on Aug 18.

This marks a milestone in Baiyun's strategic approach to developing a unique bio-pharmaceutical and healthcare ecosystem, contributing to Guangzhou's building into an international medical center.

Care Alliance, a leader in comprehensive rehabilitation healthcare, will bring its expertise to Baiyun, including top-tier rehabilitation hospitals and key national clinical specialties. It will adopt a foreign-funded hospital operation model and introduce United Family Healthcare, China's first foreign-funded private hospital known for its high standards in private healthcare.

Fosun Health, a top-ranked private medical group in China, will relocate its Guangzhou Fosun Chancheng Hospital to Baiyun, aiming to create the largest private oncology center in South China and build a smart, future-oriented hospital for patients worldwide.

With these additions and the earlier introduction of Perennial International Hospital, Baiyun is rapidly building an integrated "medical, research, rehabilitation, healthcare, and commerce" ecosystem.

Its healthcare facilities are expected to serve over 500,000 patients annually and bolster development for over 200 related enterprises, positioning it as a leading international healthcare destination in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and beyond.
