China's 1st scholar-themed tourist train sets off in Baiyun
The launch ceremony for a special tourist train, "Southern Train·Baiyun", is set to be held in public at Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station on Aug 25. The train will embark on its maiden journey from Guangzhou, passing through Zhangjiajie and Changsha in Hunan province before returning.
Designed as China's first premium tourism train with a traditional Chinese scholarly theme, the train is a collaborative creation by Hunan Culture, Sports, and Tourism Group, Guangzhou Baiyun Industrial Investment Group and China Railway Guangzhou Group.

Targeting tourists from around the world, with a special focus on inbound tourists and overseas Chinese, the train offers an immersive experience of China's cultural and natural beauty. It blends Hunan and Cantonese cultural elements, featuring 18 carriages with only 92 seats for a low-density layout.
