Design Capital of Guangzhou, once a modest village-level industrial park, has undergone a remarkable transformation and is now celebrating its second anniversary. 

Over the past six years, this area has evolved from a disorganized industrial zone with an annual output value of less than 50 million yuan ($7.05 million) to a thriving hub of creativity and innovation with an annual output value of 65 billion yuan by 2023.

The transformation of Design Capital of Guangzhou demonstrates the Baiyun district government's commitment to principles of government leadership, planning guidance, and high-end industrial introduction. The area now boasts iconic buildings like the palace of design, making it a prominent urban landmark.

During the half of half of 2024, Design Capital of Guangzhou's output value exceeded 35 billion. Its accomplishments have earned it a spot on the 2023 list of demonstration projects for upgrading village-level industrial clusters.

Design Capital of Guangzhou is on track to become a world-renowned design hub, attracting global attention with its district's unique charm and innovative spirit.
