Drone delivery takes off in Baiyun
Baiyun has launched its first drone delivery service within Guangzhou's parks. This innovative service, initiated by Guangzhou Children's Park, marks a significant step towards integrating low-altitude economy applications into urban life.
The inaugural flight saw a drone smoothly take off from CapitaMall and land at the delivery center in Guangzhou Children's Park within minutes, delivering a customer's order. This service is in its trial phase, operating daily from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, with six flights scheduled every 10 minutes. Each drone can carry up to 9 kilograms of goods, providing an efficient and convenient delivery option for park visitors during peak dining hours.
This initiative revolutionizes traditional delivery methods and explores the potential of low-altitude economic applications. Under the guidance of the Guangzhou municipal forestry and landscaping bureau and the Baiyun district government, this project aims to create a high-efficiency drone delivery network, enhancing urban living with unprecedented convenience and vitality.
Guangzhou Children's Park plans to integrate surrounding tourism resources and introduce unique low-altitude sightseeing routes. Visitors can enjoy Guangzhou's natural scenery and urban landscapes from a drone's perspective, offering an immersive tourism experience. The park will collaborate with more innovative tech companies to expand drone service applications, including educational activities, AR experiences, and interactive exhibits.
