Cherry Blossom Carnival hosts in Guangzhou Nanlian Bay
Guangzhou Nalian Bay Parent-Child Park is hosting the 2025 Cherry Blossom Carnival event, which will run until mid-April. The mountain cherry blossoms in the park were transplanted from an 800-mu (50.33-hectares) planting base in Shaoguan with over 100,000 cherry blossom trees.

During the cherry blossom season each year, visitors from the Guangzhou-Foshan area account for as much as 70 percent of the total. Due to the distant journey to Shaoguan to admire the cherry blossoms, they decided to "move" the cherry blossoms to the Guangzhou-Foshan area for the convenience of visitors.
These mountain cherry blossoms differ from common single-petal cherry blossoms, with up to eight layers of petals, a flower diameter of up to 6 centimeters, and a blooming period of up to 15 days, making them highly valuable for viewing. The mountains full of cherry blossoms, with pink and white colors interwoven in layers, resembling clouds and mist, attract many visitors who come to take photos.

The carnival event also features various interactive activities, including a hanfu experience area where visitors can dress up in exquisite hanfu and take ancient-style photos under the cherry blossom trees. There is also a non-powered amusement area for children to enjoy while getting close to nature. Additionally, there is a market offering a variety of authentic local delicacies, allowing visitors to enjoy delicious food while admiring the cherry blossoms.
