Foreign guests marvel at Guangzhou's transformation on cultural tour
American voice actor Brandy S said, "I went to Baiyun over 10 years ago, and it seemed like the countryside back then. Now, it has matured – it is more beautiful and improved."
"I've been in China since 2006, always in the Greater Bay Area, and now I actually live right here in Baiyun," Brandy said. "This tour felt so relaxing — just being able to take in the scenery near my home. I've found so many work opportunities here that I decided to move to Baiyun. Back when I first visited, I never imagined it would become my home."
Local students who joined the tour also expressed their thoughts. Cao Peiyun, a student from Guangzhou Tianhe Foreign Language School, was particularly touched by Baiyun Lake Park. "While drifting on the boat, a line of classical Chinese poetry came to me: 'Green waters wind gently, fragrant grasses line the long embankment.' The scenery here perfectly matches that poetic image," she said.
Another student, He Yongxin, was most impressed by the International Conference Center. "It was my first time stepping into such a formal and grand conference setting. I felt deeply moved, and I was even luckier to rediscover the city where I've lived for over a decade through this experience," He said.
