Guangzhou to build 15th National Games permanent IP park
Guangzhou plans to design and construct a permanent IP park centered around the event's mascots.
This initiative aims to establish the mascots Xiyangyang and Lerongrong as enduring cultural symbols of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, extending the Games' excitement and enhancing the city's appeal.
Online content related to the 15th National Games amassed 41.1 billion clicks, setting a new record for a major comprehensive sports event held in China.
The mascots, modeled after the Chinese white dolphin, a first-class protected species in China, have won public affection with their adorable design. Sales of related cultural and creative products have already exceeded 800 million yuan ($113.2 million) and are expected to reach 1 billion yuan.
