Approximately 300 athletes competed in the two-day tournament. Organized by the Water Sports Administration Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, the event featured four categories: Open, University, U17, and U13, welcoming competitors of all ages. A total of 29 teams from across the nation participated. Athletes, standing on their paddleboards, showcased strength and skill as they sped across the calm lake, passing the ball and taking shots. Competitors noted that the level of play intensifies each year, making the contests fiercely competitive.

The organizers highlighted that Baiyun Lake — the largest artificial lake in Guangzhou's city center — is exceptionally well-suited for hosting large-scale public water sports events like this one, thanks to its unique scenery and comprehensive facilities.

From its inaugural trial in 2023 to its recognition as a prominent brand today, paddleball has firmly taken root at Baiyun Lake. This progression stands as a testament to Baiyun district's steadfast commitment to integrating its natural landscape resources with sports development.
