The newly developed "Pinghe Pawnshop 1917" Historical and Cultural Creative Block in Baiyun district has been transformed into an immersive wealth-themed cultural and tourism landmark. Its financial theme pavilion opens to the public on Jan 1.

The pavilion's standout feature is its detailed recreation of a Republican-era financial scene, complete with historical displays such as a money house counter, account books, and abacuses. Visitors can dress in traditional qipao or long gowns for immersive photo opportunities, stepping into the role of a money house manager. The second floor features interactive games such as "Gold Coin Rain", "Digital Miner", and "Financial Defense Battle". Entry requires game tokens, for which the block offers special packages ranging from 9.9 to 39.9 yuan ($1.41-5.69). Furthermore, the first 100 visitors each day during the first three days of the New Year will receive a Wealth Lucky Bag.

Throughout the New Year holiday period, the block has prepared a series of immersive activities: a creative market featuring wealth-themed cultural products and Lingnan-style snacks, Republican-era street vendor performances, flash mob shows, and a grand lighting ceremony. An engaging treasure hunt activity will also be available to enhance the visitor experience.

This creative block, revitalized from century-old architecture, blends historical heritage with contemporary innovation. It offers citizens a fascinating, festive New Year destination for good fortune and fun.
