Baiyun companies go full throttle for strong start
With the Spring Festival holiday now over, companies in Guangzhou's Baiyun district have swiftly resumed operations, striving to seize market opportunities and meet their first-quarter targets.
Key enterprises in pharmaceuticals, technology, communications, logistics, and chemicals are reporting near-full staff returns and a rapid rebound in production.
At pharmaceutical giant Wanglaoji, over 95 percent of employees have returned, and production lines are operating at more than 90 percent capacity. The company is prioritizing digital upgrades — including robotic process automation in research logistics, and manufacturing — as it works to develop several blockbuster products.

High-tech firms including Zhengyun Technology, Victel Technology, and Boya Technology, have all achieved a full return of their workforce. They are increasing investment in research, developing AI and big data applications, building intelligent production lines, and launching new digital products, targeting a doubling of annual performance in 2026.

Meanwhile, logistics provider GOFAST has resumed full operations and is targeting 30 to 50 percent revenue growth this year. The company plans to expand its team and improve its services to better support Chinese businesses going global.
Specialty chemical maker Guangzhou Ultra Union Chemicals, is also ramping up production, increasing automation, and expanding into overseas markets to drive growth.
From pharmaceuticals to high-tech manufacturing, businesses in Baiyun district are operating at full speed to build momentum for the local economy in the year ahead.
