In terms of environmental upgrades, the village widened and asphalted Jianqing Street, its main thoroughfare, effectively solving traffic congestion there.
An old factory building was converted into a senior activity center featuring a canteen for the elderly. Meanwhile, abandoned fish ponds and wasteland have been transformed into leisure spaces such as Beimen Park, creating a 10-to-30-minute living service circle that meets residents' daily needs.
On the industrial front, Qinghe village (has) leveraged its unique riverside natural resources by transferring over 1,800 mu (120 hectares) of farmland and water bodies to develop Renhe Garden World Agritourism Scenic Area, which was rated a national 3A-level tourist attraction in 2025.
The scenic area focuses on leisure agriculture and has established a youth study base offering educational programs on traditional farming, smart agriculture, and ecological farming.
By introducing academic workstations and developing modern ecological agriculture models such as fish-rice symbiosis systems, the project has generated over 5.9 million yuan ($856,090) in annual collective income while creating employment opportunities for local villagers.
Moving forward, Qinghe village will continue to leverage the scenic area to attract returning investments from local talents and overseas Chinese, further promoting the deep integration of agriculture and tourism to increase villagers' incomes.
