Updated : March 27, 2026

Baiyun district in Guangzhou hosted the "New Baiyun, New Opportunities" promotional event on March 24, unveiling a package of new industrial policies and prime land offerings to attract global investors.

The event showcased 108 high-quality parcels of land in the district's eight major areas for investors, drawing over 450 representatives from Fortune Global 500 companies, domestic and international listed companies, industry leaders, and top investment and professional service institutions from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

For instance, the Baiyun International Airport area offers a world-class air-rail hub with 1.3 square kilometers of contiguous commercial and industrial land. It is especially attractive to industries such as high-end professional services, cross-border trade, and advanced aerotropolis intelligent manufacturing.

Policies for artificial intelligence, intelligent connected vehicles, the low-altitude economy, commercial aerospace, trade services, agriculture, cultural tourism, and human resources are also being formulated.

Notable incentives include up to 500,000 yuan ($72,400) for hydrogen station enterprises and up to 20 million yuan for manufacturing projects exceeding 50 million yuan in investment. In new energy storage, projects with annual fixed-asset investments above 50 million yuan are eligible for support equal to 2 percent of the total investment, while national innovation platforms receive a 2 million yuan grant.
