Updated : April 24, 2026

Guangzhou, a city renowned for its vibrant coffee culture despite not producing coffee beans on a large scale, is gearing up for the 2026 Guangzhou Coffee Culture Fair during the May Day holiday from May 1 to 5.

During the same period, the city's Baiyun district will host an international music and food fair and coffee culture fair at the Baiyun International Convention Center.

A highlight is the Jinda Coffee and Beverage City in Baiyun, China's first coffee-themed trading complex, covering 40,000 square meters. It is home to over 200 top suppliers, representing over 90 percent of the tea and coffee industry supply chain, with an annual turnover exceeding 2 billion yuan ($293 million). It attracts global merchants every month for coffee blending, ingredient sourcing, and business negotiations.

Noteworthy coffee spots include MONKEY PAI COFFEE, known as "Little Chiang Mai", the Turkish-inspired Laowai Coffee House, and the Huide Coffee Exhibition Center, offering global coffee bean varieties. Additionally, Qihu Coffee & Bistro offers lakeside views, while Brew Heart Coffee, run by visually impaired baristas, provides a tranquil, meaningful experience.
