The Guangzhou leg of the Guangdong Esports Super League City Selection Tournament kicked off at the Baiyunli International Beauty Center in Guangzhou's Baiyun district on April 25.

As the largest of this year's five divisions, the Guangzhou event attracted over 100 teams and around 500 players for an intense competition.

The morning featured the elimination stages of "Honor of Kings" and "Valorant", with 70 and 30 teams, respectively, showcasing their tactical prowess. The WDG team, comprised entirely of students from Guangzhou Baiyun Technician College of Business, emerged victorious in "Honor of Kings", while the RS7 team took the title in "Valorant".

The event also featured a unique "Esports + Beauty" experience, offering complimentary makeup services with Baiyunli's beauty products and interactive activities such as cosplay parades and themed markets. This innovative blend of esports and beauty attracted a young audience, enhancing store visits and product trials.
