Plan your May Day escape with Baiyun's arts & culture
With the five-day May Day holiday approaching, Baiyun district of Guangzhou is preparing to offer a cultural and artistic journey for citizens and tourists alike, ranging from art exhibitions to music festivals.
From May 1 to 5, the Baiyun International Conference Center will host a food fair and coffee culture festival. The event combines music, food, coffee, camping, and performances, creating a unique urban micro-vacation destination.
The "Pinghe Pawnshop 1917" Historical and Cultural Creative Block invites visitors to experience traditional crafts with various activities such as treasure hunts, DIY crafts, and a cultural market, offering a one-stop experience of traditional and modern fun.

The Baiyun Library will hold an art exhibition showcasing children's art of the district’s 10 landscapes, while the library's audiovisual hall will offer screenings of outstanding films, documentaries, and domestic animations to foster cultural appreciation and patriotism.
Additionally, the "VR New Experience" children's science event and the "Cloud Speaker" language arts training offer interactive learning opportunities.
Music lovers will have the opportunity to enjoy immersive concerts at the Baiyun International Conference Center.
The Baiyun District Cultural Center will offer art courses in dance, vocal music, and instrumental music.
