Guangzhou launches new nighttime cruise route
Guangzhou Public Transport Group has launched a new nighttime sightseeing cruise route on the Pearl River, which is currently in trial operation.
The 14.5-kilometer journey starts at Jinshazhou Pier in Baiyun district and passes through the Bai'etan waters before returning. The route connects the twin cities of Guangzhou and Foshan, offering stunning night views of both cities, including many of their most popular landmarks, all within 70 minutes.

Operating three times a day on weekends and holidays, the route has quickly become a popular attraction, drawing nearly 2,000 visitors during the May Day holiday.
Ms Liu, a resident, praised the stunning night views and cultural landmarks, expressing her intention to take more tours with family and friends.
Tickets are priced at 48 yuan ($7) for the first floor of the cruise liner and 58 yuan for the second. A combo ticket starting at 128 yuan offers a seamless tour experience, including a transfer at Xidi Pier.
