The T21 train, dedicated to the Phase II project of Guangzhou Metro Line 13, has arrived at Huanggang Depot in Baiyun district, Guangzhou. This is the first train to be stationed at the depot, laying a solid foundation for the line's future operational readiness and opening.

The Phase II project of Metro Line 13 stretches from Chaoyang Station in Baiyun district to Yuzhu Station in Huangpu district, covering a total distance of 33.6 kilometers. It traverses key urban areas like Baiyun Lake, Zhujiang New Town and Guangzhou International Financial City in Tianhe district, and Guangzhou Maritime Silk Road City in Huangpu.

Forty-two trains have been procured for the Phase II project, maintaining the eight-car formation used in Phase I. These trains emphasize energy efficiency, environmental friendliness, and passenger comfort, featuring a permanent magnet traction system and advanced LCD passenger information displays.

With this development, the west section, from Chaoyang Station to Tianhe Park Station, is expected to open within the year, as 95 percent of the project has already been completed.
