New commercial landmark to rise in Baiyun New City
The construction of the Jinbo Commercial Headquarters – a huge multipurpose commercial complex with an investment of more than 3 billion yuan ($440 million) – has made significant progress in Baiyun New City, a new central business district in Guangzhou's Baiyun district.
Spanning a construction area of 465,000 square meters, the project features a diverse array of facilities, including a shopping center, an international membership-based supermarket chain store, a star-rated hotel, and office buildings.

It comprises two adjacent plots from north to south. The northern plot centers on a commercial mall and a central courtyard, creating an open and shared urban public space. The commercial mall structure plot is already taking shape, with the project expected to top out by early September and open by the end of December.
The southern plot adopts a block-style commercial layout. The rooftop garden will primarily host dining venues, supporting a dynamic night economy and enriching consumer experiences. The foundation has been fully excavated and the project has now entered the construction phase.
With over 100 regional first stores and flagship designs for the five-star hotel and anchor stores underway, the project aims to enhance Baiyun New City's commercial infrastructure and appeal.
