Baiyun's chicken heart wampee hits harvest season early
The highly acclaimed chicken heart wampee from Longgang village in Baiyun district of Guangzhou is expected to hit the market earlier than usual this year.
The peak tasting period is approaching in mid-June, with the harvest expected to continue until around July 10.

Celebrated for more than just its exquisite taste, the chicken heart wampee is also valued for its medicinal properties, including phlegm relief, cough suppression, and heat-dispelling benefits. Locals frequently incorporate it into their diets, using it to make wampee lemon tea, soups, and stir-fried dishes.
