Annual traditional celebrations unite Baiyun villages
As the Dragon Boat Festival approaches, the annual dragon boat spectacle took place at Banghu Lake in Renhe town, Baiyun district, Guangzhou, on June 15.
Nineteen dragon boat teams gathered, reviving a tradition cherished for over 300 years.

The event saw nearly 2,000 residents from Yagang village traveling by land and water to Banghu, where they were warmly welcomed with a dragon boat feast.
At 11 am, the Yagang dragon boats made their grand entrance into the Banghu River, heralded by the resounding beats of drums and the dazzling bursts of fireworks. The ornate dragon boats glided along the river, creating an exhilarating ambiance that enthralled spectators and fostered a lively celebration.
