Construction began on the Guangzhou New Gateway Music Park in Baiyun district on June 23, marking the completion of a comprehensive set of five core facilities that are reshaping the area from a single-industry industrial park into an international industry-city integrated complex.

Covering approximately 180,000 square meters, the music park is designed as a permanent 30,000-capacity outdoor music venue, featuring a large sports park, pet interaction zone, and international performing arts center.

It will align its event calendar with the spring and autumn sessions of the Canton Fair, offering dedicated international music events during key trade seasons to enhance the city's cultural and business appeal.

The park plans to host four to six major international music events annually. Among the highlights, the inaugural Baiyun International Electronic Music Festival is set to take place this November.

The project represents the final piece of a broader transformation by Yiyun Group, joining previously completed facilities including customs bonded services, a global beauty sourcing center, the Sassur Super Outlet Park, and a five-star Wyndham Hotel.

The music park will integrate with nearby outlets, nightlife districts, high-end hotels, and the local beauty industry cluster to create an integrated cultural and commercial destination.

According to the development timeline, the park's main structure is expected to be completed by the end of July, with the pet park to open in mid-August and the metro-adjacent park expected to be fully open by Sept 30.
