Baiyun is home to a fast-growing food ingredient industrial cluster. In 2025, the total output value of its full agricultural industrial chain reached 78.52 billion yuan. In the first quarter of 2026, the output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery rose 4.8 percent year-on-year to 1.46 billion yuan.
Tan Jutian, chairman of the company, said the firm will deepen industry-university-research collaboration, leverage its leading role to attract other companies throughout the industrial chain, and expand its presence in the health food sector.
The project is expected to strengthen Baiyun's high-end food production capacity, foster new quality productive forces, and boost the district's efforts to become the "Capital of Food Ingredients" in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
