The Baiyun Branch of the Women and Children's Medical Center, affiliated with Guangzhou Medical University, was inaugurated at Baiyun District People's Hospital on June 24.

As a newly accredited National Children's Medical Center and a leading tertiary maternity and children's hospital in South China, the facility represents a significant upgrade in Baiyun's maternal and child healthcare services, bringing top-tier national medical resources directly to the local community.

The two parties will co-manage four core departments of gynecology, obstetrics, pediatrics and neonatology under an integrated model that unifies management, technology and talent.

Leading specialists will be stationed on a long-term basis to deliver clinical services and provide surgical training. A green emergency channel for critical maternal and neonatal cases will be established, supported by a tiered care and two-way referral mechanism.
