The Xintang-Baiyun Airport-Guangzhou North Railway Station Intercity Railway, spanning approximately 78 km, traverses Huadu, Baiyun, Huangpu and Zengcheng districts of Guangzhou. The section from Zhuliao Station to Baiyun Airport North has been integrated into the Guangzhou East Ring Intercity Railway and is already in operation.
Once fully operational, the railway will link Guangzhou and Shenzhen, two core cities in the Pearl River Delta region, with a direct connection to Qingyuan through the Guangzhou East Ring Intercity Railway. It will advance the integrated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
