VeriSilicon sets up South China R&D Center in Baiyun
Spanning a planned area of 28 square kilometers, Baiyun Lake Digital Technology City stands as one of the flagship development platforms in Baiyun district. Designed to be a premier demonstration zone for the Digital China Initiative, the park also functions as a collaborative innovation pilot area within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and a digital economy innovation pilot for Guangzhou-Foshan integration.
It now prioritizes six core sectors: high-end software, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, next-generation communication networks, the internet of things, and digital creative industries, and is now home to more than 600 enterprises.
"We are not just setting up operations here; we hope to ignite a 'Silicon Fire' that spreads far and wide," said Wayne Dai, founder and chief executive officer of VeriSilicon.
He added that Guangzhou offers excellent supporting infrastructure, from housing and schools to healthcare facilities, and the beautiful Baiyun Lake Park right next to the new center is a real bonus, creating an attractive environment for young, talented R&D professionals.
