New health network brings better care to Baiyun communities
Guangzhou's Baiyun district has launched a "Direct Health Network" covering 25 villages and communities in Jianggao town, operated by the Baiyun Hospital of Guangzhou First People's Hospital.
The network creates a three-tier hospital-village-household system, assigning each village a dedicated grid-based medical team and local health liaisons to deliver specialist advice and basic care to residents' doorsteps.
Through WeChat groups, villagers can access instant consultations on common ailments and chronic disease medication. Monthly free clinics, health talks, and home visits are offered regularly, enabling on-site treatment of common conditions.

The network provides health education, chronic disease screening, emergency green channels, and full disease management, ensuring early detection, intervention, and treatment.
A new 146-mu (9.7-hectare) public health hospital campus is under construction in Dashigang village, which will serve as a western Baiyun medical hub.
