The Eastern Zone of Guangzhou's Central Kitchen project, a modern food logistics and distribution center located in the city's Baiyun district, was topped out on July 28, marking the completion of the main structure.

This project is designed to enhance Guangzhou's role as a core fresh produce distribution hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and provide high-quality food supply chain services to residents across the region.

Invested in and developed by Guangzhou Jiangnan Fruit and Vegetable Wholesale Market Management, the project covers about 200,000 square meters of floor area, with a total construction area of 397,000 sq m.

It is divided into two functional zones: the Western Zone, a storage and trading area, was topped out last year and is expected to be operational by the end of this year. The Eastern Zone, featuring cold storage facilities and a business office building, is slated to launch operations in 2027.

The project is set to cater to diverse sectors, including fruits, vegetables, meat, frozen goods, and seafood, with an anticipated annual transaction and distribution volume exceeding 1 million metric tons, serving over 50 million residents in the Greater Bay Area.

With the Eastern Zone's completion, the focus shifts to global business recruitment, attracting leading enterprises in the agriculture and food sectors to further strengthen the regional agricultural product supply chain.

This project not only sets a benchmark for upgrading Guangzhou's wholesale markets but also promises efficient farm-to-table logistics through state-of-the-art facilities.
