With the much-anticipated section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen intercity railway from Zhuliao to Xintang South stations starting operations on July 31, the line that links Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport became fully operational.

This new section, spanning 48.2 kilometers, integrates with the existing Xintang South-to-Shenzhen Airport segment, marking the line's full connection.

The new line introduces seven stations: Zhongluotan East, Jiufo, Folong, Xinlong, Zhenlong, Yongning North, and Yongning South. Ticket prices are set at 30 yuan ($4.4) from Zhuliao to Xintang South and 72 yuan to Shenzhen Airport.
