The "Pinghe Pawnshop 1917" Historical and Cultural Creative Block, an immersive wealth-themed cultural and tourism landmark in Baiyun district, will host a "Dream Back to 1917" event from Aug 14 to 19.

The event will feature a unique celebration that combines historical and modern elements, set against the backdrop of century-old architectural treasures. Visitors can enjoy immersive NPC tours featuring actors in costume, portraying merchants, scholars, and townsfolk, which bring the bustling streets of the past to life.

As night falls, a giant illuminated fish lantern will rise, symbolizing prosperity and peace, while traditional fish lantern parades weave through the alleys, creating a mesmerizing and culturally rich atmosphere.

Visitors will also be treated to captivating traditional performances, including dragon and lion dances, acrobatics, and face-changing acts.

A themed market will showcase traditional crafts like sugar painting and paper cutting, alongside a variety of local delicacies and street foods. Families will be able to enjoy classic games such as ring toss and balloon popping.
