Guangzhou has taken a significant step in transforming its role in the global coffee industry with the establishment of the South China International Coffee Trading Innovation Center and the South China International Green Coffee Beans Distribution Center in Baiyun district.

This initiative marks Guangzhou's transition from a coffee "transit hub" to a "destination" for trading, pricing, and quality control.

The two industrial centers are expected to attract over 50 international suppliers and buyers within their first year of opening, targeting an annual green bean trading volume of 12,000 metric tons.

The newly launched coffee trading innovation center will function as a service-oriented platform, offering transaction services, index publishing, and standard setting. Meanwhile, the coffee beans distribution center has secured agreements with major coffee-producing regions worldwide, streamlining the supply chain from global producers to South China's roasting factories.
