Guangzhou International Port, also known as the Guangzhou Railway Container Central Station, located in Baiyun district, has emerged as a pivotal hub for China-Europe freight trains in the Guangdong- Hong Kong- Macao Greater Bay Area.

Since its launch in August 2022, the port has established 20 regular routes, connecting over more than 40 cities in over 20 countries and regions and facilitating logistics linking Southeast Asia, Central Asia and Eastern Europe.

Spanning 556 mu (37.07 hectares), the port is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, including six large gantry cranes and one reach stacker, enabling simultaneous loading and unloading of four complete container trains. This robust setup maximizes its handling capacity.

By the end of July, over 2,200 China-Europe freight trains had been dispatched, with import and export values reaching 4 billion yuan ($594 million).

The port's early focus on everyday goods has given way to regular exports of high-value products such as LCD TVs, microwaves, motorcycles and cars. The demand for cooling appliances such as air conditioners and fans has surged during the summer months.

Looking ahead, Guangzhou International Port plans to launch additional routes, further promoting Guangdong's manufacturing exports and introducing more international goods to the local market.
