The second edition of the "Chuyun Cup" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition opened on Sept 3 at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Conference Center in Baiyun district, Guangzhou.

A total of 54 teams took part in the competition. The competition centered on scalable solutions in new energy storage and power systems across five categories: new energy storage, new power systems, energy storage integration, energy storage security, and hydrogen energy applications.

Following events in cities such as Beijing, Hangzhou, and Munich, Germany, the competition returned to Baiyun, a key hub for the new energy storage industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Baiyun district, home to the National Innovative Energy Storage Center, is a strategic hub for the energy storage industry, with over 237 companies and a projected industry scale exceeding 50 billion yuan ($7.4 billion) by 2030.

This year's competition saw 340 project entries, including 122 from overseas, highlighting its growing international appeal.
