A basketball festival will take place at the Guangzhou Airport Experimental Middle School in Baiyun district from Sept 24 to 27, offering a vibrant mix of basketball events, cultural heritage showcases, light shows, music performances, food markets, and flash mobs.

To highlight the event, local villages, communities, and enterprises will organize basketball teams to compete in a grassroots league themed "Every Village on Stage" from 5 pm to 7 pm each day on Sept 26 and 27.

Adding cultural flair, the majestic Yingge dance, a folk dance from the Chaoshan region of Guangdong province that integrates drama, dance, and martial arts and is also a national intangible cultural heritage, will be performed thrice daily from Sept 25 to 27.

On Sept 24, Huang Weixiang, famed for her role as "Bagu" in the classic Guangdong IP TV drama The House of 72 Tenants, will engage with fans.

The festival also features a lion dance competition on Sept 25 from 10 am to 12 pm.

A concert that pays tribute to Beyond, Hong Kong's most legendary rock band, will captivate audiences with reimagined classic hits. Additionally, a stunning light display and ethereal performances will enchant visitors from Sept 25 to 27.

Complementing the festivities is a vast market with over 200 stalls and a dedicated family entertainment zone.
