Guangzhou will offer an exciting lineup of over 2,000 cultural and tourism events for the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, inviting residents and tourists alike to explore its rich heritage and festivities, according to a press conference on Sept 21.

The dual festival celebration features a citywide carnival with activities spanning 11 districts. Highlights include exhibitions, traditional folk performances, music festivals, sports events, and culinary experiences.

Notable events include a special exhibition of Guangzhou's legacy, showcasing the city's 2,240-year history, and the spectacular Mid-Autumn Festival lantern displays with folk activities such as the fire dragon dance.

Guangzhou also introduces 20 curated "Happy Tour" routes, offering diverse themes such as cultural walks, art and fashion, family fun, and nature exploration.

The newly launched "Yue Shang Baiyun" cultural tourism project along the Shijing River in Baiyun district enhances the city's night tourism with a 4-kilometer waterborne performance route.

Known as the "flower city", Guangzhou offers 90 themed activities, including flower shows and cultural fairs, promising an exciting holiday season.
