Baiyun students shine at WorldSkills with 8 golds
Young talents from Baiyun district delivered standout performances at the 48th WorldSkills Competition, held in Shanghai from Sept 22 to 27, bringing home eight gold medals and one Medallion for Excellence.
Known as the "Olympics of vocational skills", the competition attracted 1,385 contestants from 68 countries and regions. China, as host, topped the table with 41 golds, 11 silvers, four bronzes, and six Medallion for Excellence awards.

Guangdong Machinery Technician College won gold medals in both CNC Turning and CNC Milling, continuing its remarkable streak with 14 golds over seven consecutive appearances at WorldSkills since 2013. Li Zhuoping's victory in CNC Milling also marked China's sixth straight win in the event.
Guangzhou Industry & Trade Technician College secured four golds in IT Network Systems Administration, Mobile Applications Development, Software Testing, and Mechanical Engineering CAD, plus a Medallion for Excellence award in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
