Egrets return: A living canvas on Baiyun Lake
Around 200 egrets have arrived at the East Lake of Baiyun Lake Park in Guangzhou's Baiyun district, dancing over the water and foraging along the shores — a stunning sign of the area's improving ecology.
The birds typically arrive in October, but this year they began gathering in early September, with numbers expected to peak by mid-October.
