Baiyun welcomes China's 1st open-air airport viewing platform
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has launched China's first open-air airport viewing platform at Terminal 3.
Spanning 2,400 square meters, this expansive platform offers an unobstructed view of the runway, allowing visitors to witness aircraft takeoffs, landings, and taxiing up close.
The highlight is the "Sky Mirror" photo spot, where the mirrored ground reflects the sky and planes, creating stunning visuals. Best of all, access is free and requires no reservation.
For a more elevated experience, the 36.8-meter observation tower on the landside offers panoramic views through floor-to-ceiling glass. Visitors can purchase tickets to enjoy a perspective akin to that of air traffic controllers, with sweeping views of the runway, bridges, and the control tower.
The platform is open daily from 7 am to 9 pm. The best times for photography are around sunset (5-7 pm) and on clear days, ensuring beautiful, atmospheric shots.
